TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
Romain Dumas took victory in the Hillclimb Shoot-Out with a 43.22-second run in the Ford Supertruck, while Tom
Williams claimed the Rally Shoot-Out in his Škoda Fabia RS Rally 2.
There were also some special moments on the hill, like when Derek Bell returned to the wheel of his Le Mans-winning
Porsche 962C, and when Carl Fogarty reunited with his Ducati 916 to mark 30 years since his WorldSBK title. Colin McRae’s
legendary Subaru Impreza 555 also returned to the hill.
GORDON MURRAY’S CENTRAL FEATURE
Suspended in front of Goodwood House, the 2025 Central Feature paid tribute to the brilliance of Professor Gordon Murray
CBE. Combining the Brabham BT52 and the GMA T.50, it highlighted 60 years of design innovation. Dario Franchitti even
opened the Hillclimb in the T.50 on Thursday!
FUTURE LAB, STEM AND THE ROAD AHEAD
FOS Future Lab returned with a clear focus on innovation and sustainability. From the European Space Agency and
Seabed 2030 to Ameca, the humanoid robot, the exhibits showed how automotive technology is merging with space,
maritime, and medical industries.
The Williams Racing STEM Lab offered an immersive look at wind tunnel models, F1 tech, and challenges for the next
generation of engineers. Education and entertainment, perfectly blended.
FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2025
I loved my first experience of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. On top of everything else going on, I even got to sit in the
passenger seat of the new Lotus Emira while it was raced up the hill. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to top that!
Thank you, Festival of Speed 2025, see you next year.
