MORGAN SUPERSPORT
WORDS BY ROB HARVEY
IMAGES BY MORGAN MOTOR COMPANY
A couple of weeks ago, Morgan introduced its brand-new flagship model, the Supersport. I sat at my desk watching the live stream of
the big reveal, while at the same time, preparing to download the media images and details directly from Morgan, for an article on the
Bridge Classic Cars website.
I was extremely distracted by the livestream and quickly found myself staring at the screen at this beautiful new car that still looked
instantly recognisable as a Morgan, but conversations were happening about wireless phone charging and other modern features. I’ve
been around quite a few Morgans in the last few years but none of them had anything close to modern features like this.
My first impression…it looked incredible!
A MODERN TAKE ON TRADITIONAL DESIGN
The Supersport is built on the all-new CXV aluminium platform and delivers enhanced torsional rigidity, refined suspension, and
improved steering for a more connected and engaging driving experience.
Staying true to Morgan’s philosophy of functional design, the Supersport has the brand’s classic silhouette but with modernised
surfacing and reduced complexity in its appearance. It has a sculpted aerodynamic form with prominent front and rear wings that give
a brief hint of its enhanced performance. The lightweight aluminium body panels are all, as you would expect, handcrafted by Morgan’s
in-house team.
The Supersport comes with two roof options – an interchangeable carbon composite hardtop and a folding mohair soft top. A newly
added boot and increased stowage behind the seats increase the new car’s touring capabilities too.
It’s 100% a Morgan, but it’s a Morgan that is completely at home in 2025.
