Perhaps the biggest impact my 12
months with a Magnette had was
that, as a direct result of my time
with Audrey, I now own a 1976 MGB
GT. Without Audrey, I might have
continued admiring classics from a
distance, appreciating them but
never really understanding them
fully.
While I was looking after Audrey, I
got the chance to take her to
several car shows including Drive It
Day and The Festival of Classic &
Sports Cars.
I also got to display her in the local MG showroom right next to the all-new MG Cyberster. That is
certainly one image I will keep in mind for a long time to come.
GOODBYE AUDREY
But like all good things, our time
together has come to an end. She
wasn’t mine to keep, and the time
arrived to hand her back to her
rightful owner, Peter.
All I have left to say is thank you to
Peter. Thank you for trusting me
with your car and letting me learn
and understand more about classic
car ownership. I can honestly say I
loved every drive and I hope you go
on to enjoy her as much as I did.
Audrey…my 1955 MG Magnette, we had a great year together and we literally covered thousands
of miles. I appreciate every one of them.
Goodbye Audrey!
